1. Detailed steps to change the password
- Open the Twitter official website or the US version of the Twitter mobile client, enter your account number and current password to complete the login.
- After logging in, click your avatar in the upper right corner of the page and select [Settings and Privacy] from the pop-up menu.
- Enter the [Account] category, find the [Password] option and click.
- Conduct identity verification: Complete verification of mailbox Captcha, 2FA dynamic code, etc. according to account security settings.
- After passing the verification, set a new password. It is recommended that the password be at least 8 digits and be matched with upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters to improve security.
- Enter the new password repeatedly to confirm, and click Save Changes.
- Prompt that the modification was successful and the account password update was completed.
2. Safety precautions
- Don't share your account password with others to avoid account theft.
- It is recommended to change passwords regularly to reduce the risk of information leakage and theft.
- For new accounts that have just registered/purchased, it is recommended to change the password 3-7 days after maintaining the account to prevent triggering a risk control freeze.
